March 2026
Spring has sprung!
March brings a couple of things we always look forward to — the first signs of spring, longer evenings, and at clinic, it was Matt’s birthday month.
It’s the perfect opportunity for us to recognise the care, dedication and enthusiasm he brings to the clinic and to the people he works with every day.
Helping people move better, feel better and stay active is at the centre of what we do. Over the years, Matt has helped many patients with back pain, posture concerns, sports injuries and the everyday aches that life can bring. Alongside the treatments themselves, the relationships built with patients are a big part of what makes the clinic such a positive place.
To mark his birthday month, we thought it would be a great chance to ask Matt a few questions — about how he got into chiropractic, what motivates him in his work, and a few fun personal questions too.
Q&A with our Chiropractor Matt!
What inspired you to become a chiropractor?
I had a sports injury when I was younger, I found physio only got me so far and to make the next steps Chiropractic care helped me improve mobility and strength the most.
How did your journey into chiropractic begin?
I studied sport and exercise science at Brockenhurst College and applied to 2 Chiropractic colleges and was accepted into both. I chose to go to the Angelo European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. The course was a 5-year course including a year of hands-on treatment at their onsite clinic.
What’s been one of your proudest moments in practice so far?
Building this clinic from scratch and making it what it is today.
What’s the most rewarding part of helping patients feel better?
Seeing and hearing that they are accomplishing more things and achieving their goals is a really rewarding part of my job. I love to know how they are progressing and even things that they couldn’t do a few months ago has since become easy for them to achieve, it is amazing.
How has working with patients shaped you as a person?
I have grown in confidence as a person and a chiropractor. I have found a sense of pride when I am able to provide help for my patients.
If you weren’t a chiropractor, what do you think you’d be doing?
At one stage I was about to go down the path of being a professional tennis player. But I wanted to help care for people in some form so most likely sports therapy or physiotherapy.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the clinic hobbies/activities?
I enjoy playing sports, I play a lot of golf and tennis. I have just started to play a lot of padel during the week as well. I enjoy being active so if not one of these activities, then I do like going on walks with my dog.
What personal and professional goals do you have for the year ahead?
Personal – Play more padel and golf. Have a happy and fulfilling year with my family and friends
Professional – Build the team further, to provide more care and help for our local community
What’s your favourite way to relax after a busy clinic day?
Go for a walk with my dog and just chill out watching a good tv show/film and play padel or golf when I can.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Take the risks
Thank You for Reading
We hope this gives you the chance to get to know Matt a little more outside of the treatment room and celebrates the community that has grown around the clinic.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all our patients for being part of that community. Your trust and commitment to your health are what make the clinic what it is, and we’re grateful to support you.
Next month we’ll be back with our usual blog topics, but if there’s anything you’d like us to cover in future posts, please do let us know. And if you have any celebrations, milestones or achievements you’d like us to share, we’d love to hear from you.
Thank you again to all our patients for your continued support — whether that’s visiting the clinic, leaving a review, referring friends or family, or simply brightening our day when you come in.
